It would be nice if we could move and size the windows to how we wanted them, and the game remembered this.
And it would be helpfull if the shortcuts on the bottom were never covered up. I quite often need to see them when the Inventory is opened.

Re: Passive Requester Chests
I don't see the point of this. By default the game pulls from the Yellow chests first which basically takes care of any cleanup. What I do that helps with this is to only place 1, or very rarely, 2 Yellow chests without limiting them to a specific item (no filters). The ones with filters in them are...

Re: FFF is killing me
I would like to see some things in the FFF that are relevant now. The Experimental release recently was really good. A bit of advanced notice on releases relevent to the current game would be helpfull.
And, it would be nice if the Experimental release updates were posted on Steam.

Re: Anyone else got hyped enough about space age that they had to dive into space exploration?
I am not really 'hyped', but I started a new game with SE and several other QOL mods. I guess I was bored. I also reset my blueprints to zero and restarted that from scratch.

Re: Shadow angle, Medium power poles
I never liked the medium pole. I usually use a large wooden pole that looks more like the real wooden poles I see locally. I think Klonan made it originally.

Re: Do we actually need Pipes to be non-directional? (Looking at Captain of Industry)
I prefer the pipe system of Captain of Industry. It is a lot easier to deal with than in this game. I believe their pipes are treated like belts internally which would greatly simplify things here.

Is this missing on purpose? All of the others from 1 to 19 (excluding this file) are in the base/sound folder.

Re: [MOD 0.17] Wood Harvester
This mod can be easily updated for Factorio 1.1. I added an issue at Github with the changes I made. I totally agree that this mod should be kept alive. I use it at least since version 0.0.11 and just tweaked the info.json file to keep it alive, at least in my local copy. i am currently in the maki...

Re: Expansion hype thread - Any updates on when/if there will be an expansion?
I think that the Developers did such a good job making the game easily Moddable, that I am not convinced that an expansion is really needed. I would rather see a complete new version of the game, designed in full 3D. I am sure they could easily outperform a certain other 3D game like this. The one t...

Re: Friday Facts #365 - Future plans
Factorio supports multiple surfaces. And you can portal the player and vehicles between surfaces with LUA. What's missing is support for rails to connect to another surface. It's one of my open suggestions. Imagine you could build a tunnel into a cliff to get underground and come back out on the ot...

Re: Why big output buffer in Furnaces?
Because in the early game, you can setup furnaces to smelt without electricity, using burner miners and burner inserters. It would be incredibly inconvenient that they would only stack to 4 or 5 in the furnaces, meaning you would have to keep emptying them very regularly. ... I disagree. Actually i...

Re: Old item icons
The Iconography Mod (ver 0.18) by Optera has some of the old icons.
It also has the old Icon of the Copper Top battery.
Just change the factorio_version to 1.1 in info.json to get it work.
You can also add icons to this mod from the older games as Loewchen mentioned above.

Now if only the User Interface itself was a mod. I could modify it to work best for me. Anno 1800 has a small dialog on the left of the screen that allows one to show or hide various warnings and alerts. Re: Remove Expensive Mode
I would really like the normal vs expensive thing to go away. But if it doesn't, maybe every item in the game should have the 'normal' or 'expensive' options. This would make it much easier for those of us who make or edit mods. I spent hours yesterday trying to get a mod to work, and finally realiz...

Save/Load text files instead of text strings.
Suggestion Instead of copying and pasting strings, give me a Load/Save dialog to load or save the entire text file. What ? Copying and Pasting text that is impossible to read is quite cumbersome and prone to errors. Especially when the string is really big. It is easy to mis-select a string when co...
