Re: Command Line blueprint-storage.dat Export

Thanks to your comment, I found this https://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/Lua ... port_stack

Not sure how to parse available blueprints whether in player's lib or game BPs or whatnot. Will keep digging.

Command Line blueprint-storage.dat Export

How can I dump a list of strings from a map and/or my personal blueprint-storage.dat file? It looks like serialized JSON but I'd like to know what metadata or headers, etc precede/delimit the blueprints so I can parse it or maybe there's another option. I have dozens of blueprint-storage.dat files a...

[0.17.x] Blueprint Import String requires Mouse Move after import to update list

The title says it all but here are brief reproduction instructions:
  1. Copy a string to your clipboard to import it
  2. Import but do not move mouse
  3. Observe the library list does not update
  4. Move the mouse
  5. Observe the new blueprint in the library

Re: [SOLVED] [0.17] Ultra low resultion by default?

Update on this: I was getting "No space left on device" with a hard crash when running into biter territory or working on a lot of machines, so I decreased all the quality back down to make the game stable, albeit hideous, and then later a friend suggested I set my atlas size to as small a...

Re: 0.17 Ultra low resultion by default?

At last! I had to disable texture compression because my integrated graphics device does not meet some kind of requirement: $ lspci -nn | grep -i graphics 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Crystal Well Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0d26] (rev 08) Screenshot from 2019...

Re: 0.17 Ultra low resultion by default?

I have found one bit to help: Sprite resolution was set to Normal. Presumably it was set to that because when I changed it stated it could not detect that there was enough VRAM. Luckily I can force it to high. So now my character looks nicer, but the terrain still is low resolution. How to fix? Scre...

[SOLVED] [0.17] Ultra low resultion by default?

What is this low resolution rendering? I don't see any options that look obviously off, and this is a 100% default install.

Factori-ohs SuperCereal

I wish there was an optimized factorio cereal I could eat to maximize nutritional intake in the shortest period of time for the lowest cost while I play factorio.

Hi Rseding. Thanks for considering this investigation-worthy. Attached is a map and a few screenshots. factorio chart tag bug.zip Screenshot from 2018-06-24 22-15-44.png Screenshot from 2018-06-24 22-16-06.png Here's the snippet to generate more: /c for x=1,1000 do game.player.force.add_chart_tag(ga...

FPS death with lots of map tags

I play on a server that uses a scenario that had a bug that generated a lot of map tags (say, 5000+). For whatever reason, the render is fine when zoomed out but as you zoom in to where the stacked tags were located, the FPS would drop lower and lower (to less than 1FPS eventually) when zooming in c...

Filter Multiplayer Games by Player Count

My standard "workflow" of finding a multiplayer game to join is to select "No Mods", select "No Passwords", and then I sort by played time. I like to play early games and help players get started with mining and smelting and early tech. It's a bit cumbersome to sort by ...

Re: 100MB+ map caused huge debug output

I wasn't able to reconnect to that server until now and now I got a crash rather than a lockup, so maybe that's better, maybe it's not: Factorio crashed. Generating symbolized stacktrace, please wait ... #0 0x0000000000809540 in CrashHandler::writeStackTrace(CrashHandler::CrashReason) [clone .constp...

100MB+ map caused huge debug output

I run on linux from a console and so I don't know if this is normal for other platforms, but I get a lot of log messages. I loaded a multiplayer game which appeared to have a 100MB+ map and the game essentially used all available ram (16GB here) and locked up. I ended up with a lot of this kind of o...
