Re: Friday Facts #360 - 1.0 is here!
Congratulations And a huge thank you. You showed the world how a game should be made and more importantly, how to build a great community. The communication between the players and devs should be a Master class in game development courses. Not playing that much lately, but I've always followed FFF e...

Re: Friday Facts #351 - Beacon re-redesign & Simplified fluid mixing
The mixing is still prevented in the most common cases, It just the cases like a mod defined fluidbox connection force placed with a rotated blueprint of a upgradeable entity of another force during a full moon will not longer mix and force a crash. Instead if there is some really weird case where ...

And then we draw the rest of the owl. Fix places where the automated cloning hasn’t been good enough, add more ruins to be explored, tweak the gameplay and we will have a finished scenario. Klonan, how sad are you that, so far, noone read careful enough to notice this masterpiece? owl.jpg

Re: LTN vs TSM
I might have been tired and read "you have to have one central depot" I might also get slighty triggered by people thinking that everything needs to start working "NOW!", like the already full deliveries. It evens out in the long run. Once you get it running, it doesn´t really ma...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Specificly he said modules use it ive tried it with and without Bob´s modules (without it its just vanilla ones) and i cant see anything coming out of alien material thats useful for modules. its stuck at some crystal whic...

Re: LTN vs TSM
I prefer TSM for a few reasons - .. Trains are full when the station requests them (unlike LTN which has to send a train to fill when a request is placed) You can place depots near to requester stations for quicker unloading (unlike LTN which does not know where the next delivery will be, so you ha...

Re: Importing blueprints
afaik the only buildings that changed in size are the rocket silo and offshore pumps you may run into some removed items, like the pickaxe mentioned above you also need rebuild for the changed reciepes, almost of them changed except for the basics like plates, red/green science and buildings. but i ...

Re: [0.18.18] Import blueprint not visible
The button is in the shortcut bar. If you can not find it there, check its configuration. It took me a while to find this and i dont like it. A BP library without an import button? Wanting everything in the shortcut bar just because its awesome is a bad idea imho. Even if you are used to work with ...

Re: LHD Book for 5 car trains?
all of the above but go back one step and look at the intersections themself. Maybe the signals are just wrong? Also, when i first started with trains, i got the signals pretty quick, but what kept my main lines blocked some times, was to not have enough room to park trains after they left the main ...

Re: Is this the end of my playthrough?
- Minimize the use of splitters. They are very ups intensive. You can use an unload configuration like this saving 5 splitters per wagon 2 belt per wagon with buffer equal unload.png That's a cool layout that should still give a similar throughput to what I have - I'll give it a go. Given my number...

a more recent experience with ANNO1800: Since it was mentioned here, i thought i have a go, you know, too much time in lock down... I start a new game, skip the talking. The game tells me to use a stick of dynamite on some fish, yet I have no dynamite. I started another game, just to see if i was cr...

Re: New Player - Trying to wrap my head around things
It's similar with other items in the picture: The plastic you see is only really for cannon shell production. This is not meant for red circuits or LDS. Those again get dedicated lines. The sulfur is only for blue science. With sulfuric acid you're far better off with direct insertion (2 acid plant...

Re: To play or not?
Rimworld can be like Factorio, playstyle totally depends on if you mod it. In Vanilla you need to find a balance between totally boring and stupidly overwhelming, depending on your settings, starting conditions, biome and skills/knowledge. I haven´t played it the last 7 or so months, so im like you ...

Rules: turn it into 6 type of science packs (excluding military), and consumed by labs. before i attempt this, can we clarify the wording so that it has to be a reasonable consumption? You know, the way you wanna put in prod modules into your labs to get the most bang for your buck? Simply consumin...

Re: insert exact number of items
Quite honestly, I don’t see any real value to this in the long term. yeah, nothing worth doing in the long term. However, some nuclear fuel plants out there take a long time to start up, since they need all the kovarex centrifuges to be primed first you get impatient, you wanna see it run plus, its...

Re: insert exact number of items
but I do not know how to reset the counter after 40 is reached. any idea? You need some signal from the output inserter (read hand contents) If you reset it straight after it hit 40, it will just push more into the machine. Trying to wrap my head around this problem, but maybe that gives you an idea
