Re: Research going too fast/easy while I do other things?
I just started a singleplayer (dangerores) with a nice science multiplier. I really enjoy it, since i can finally keep up with my research. i suggest try a game with a x10 science multiplier. Getting your first assembler is a bitch, but after that, the game pace is great

Re: How to build a Dyson Sphere
So, all your rockets seem to be stuck in Nauvis orbit. You realized you need something interstellar to escape. You look over your shoulder to your rocket-base and imagines what needed next. After your head starts spinning you realize anyhow you will escape, you need a ton of energy to do so. The roc...

Re: Complete oil processing - conditions
Usually some rs-latches avoid the problem that prodction is continiously stuttering around the switch points. By using combinators, or a simple belt loop i usualy start cracking around 20k and stop when 5k is reached again. Especially when you are toggling your beacons this comes in handy.

Re: Factorio logic: Map is practically infinite but you still run out of space.
well, the price of space depends on needs. Example: You could plop your assemblers anywhere, but you probabilly want to place them near plates. Since you do t want to long supply lines (latency, performance), ypu cram stuff together as close as reasonable possible. while there is still space else. L...

Cat pictures:), These FFF getting better and better. I like these (non relevant) "feeling" facts about working on our favourite game. I imagine this update feels as a celebration and the bug squising weeks are great (but a little stressfull) to do. Playing 0.17 this week (finally got bots ...

Ok, removing all non scenario-modded saves (diggy, comfy) solved the problem.

[0.17.6] Still crashing on 'Load Game'
Using Steam in Linux, the update to [0.17.6] did not fix the problem. Prior to updating, I removed the game files (not the config file, saves, blueprints etc.) entirely, then re-downloaded the game. I can start a new game, but clicking load game result in crash. Edit: My latest save is Diggy scenari...

Re: Please Bring Back Chests and Power Poles as Sources of Fuel
What people want is not a way to get energy from obsolete wooden stuff by burning it (I think). People want a way to dispose of obsolete stuff - whatever it is made of - without using the "put it in a chest and blow the chest up" trick. Exactly. I just dont like shooting chests. Managing ...

Re: Game Sounds, LaserT, Worms and Alert
the most fictional lasers make sound. James Bond, Avorion, you can think of any. And although a real laser itself is silent, it need to be active cooled, which usualy makes noise. Pasive cooled lasers cant transfer much energy/heat to be any functional other then a pointer. I was quite surprised abo...

That really depends on the situation. Wheter i want i cleared asap, or that i want to set up a 'long term' field. It also depends on the supply of power and the miners itself.

Congratulations, A big milestone is coming close:D. I can' t wait for the new recepies to become vanilla: large changes will happen, it feels like there is not much to do in my factories atm, since it will be obsolete soon. The new cliff setting are great! It was a painfull process to realize that y...
