Re: [1.1][Poll] Do you more often mess up your quickbar now?
I changed the setting directly after updating to keep the old behavior. I imagine I would screw my filters often with the new setting.

Re: Version 1.1.1
I have a speculation aswel: it cleaned up the entire top left gui bar, since only the rocket button was left there on vanilla, which doesn't make too much sense there gui-wise on it's own.
Only mods and scenarios used to have enough buttons to form a reasonable toolbar there.

Re: Version 1.1.1
Where to cheak how much rockets lounch? It was built-in in vanilla until 1.0, but was removed in 1.1 experimental. The production statistics of all time consumed satellites rounds up in kilo's. Is there any way left (for modders perhaps) to show the exact number of all time consumed sats?I see it c...

Re: empty bucket on trigger (based on shishi-odoshi)
I assumed water availability since a nuclear reactor is used. Efficiency and reliability are different factors. For example one could also measure how long a outpost can stay online independent, in case of a jammed/wrecked rail network. Belt readers dont care bout power failure so they are a reliabl...

Re: empty bucket on trigger (based on shishi-odoshi)
That is beautiful use of the given tools. There's a lot of ways to make logic operations without using combinators. Its is a very visual artistic way of programming. A simple belt latch wouldn't be much more complex imo (and even perform with 4 yellow belts in this situation), and further simplify t...

Re: Friday Facts #363 - 1.1 is getting close
The inserter slot keeps me tinkering about what usecases it solves. We're about to lose a neat little interface to a lot of blur: We're not there yet, as a filter inserter will need some third panel to select the filters. Agreed its a cleaner way to manually clear a inserter (instead of rotating/rep...

Re: Friday Facts #363 - 1.1 is getting close
What is the point of showing the inventory next to inserters/combinators? It's duplicated functionality aswel, since you still need a selector for items which are not in your inventory. Also in the new screen the "connect to logistic network" option could draw more attention. About the fla...

Here you have the new and old pole together on one page.
Compared to the proposed poles in FFF195 i think this new pole retained a lot of character of the classic pole.

Re: ""Factorio 2""
Less obvious then yo would think. Realize Factorio is just a (the) base mod running in a very optimized custom 2D engine. The engine could run other (base) mods aswel, but besides optional improving of Factorio there are no official announcement about future plans of Wube.

Re: Rant about universal strategies (main busses)
While mainbusses are not really the top efficient, and plain boring, they are the easiest to pull up and get overview, for people that are looking for advice how to build and optimize. This is especially the case in multiplayer games, with clueless random joiners. Scalable / Modular decentralized bu...

Re: Slight reduction of rocket launch animation time
Add my support to OP's suggestion (Bump). Since this timing issue, personally i usually dont aim for 1k spm as a sub goal, but for one beaconned silo, since its not much difference in base design, besides a nifty satellite timing double launchpad, and slightly less smelting/minute. This "niflty...

Re: FFF 361
I am very thankful to Wube for enjoyning the journey to 1.0. It was a great ride, and it resulted imo in the best game ever made. I appriciated the no bs policy and direct communication via the FFF's and various platforms. While i will miss the FFF's I am happy the devs finally reached their goal fi...

Re: Version 0.18.42
What is the reason you want to select the latest version explicitly, instead of selecting 0.18.x to get the latest version? (It's a genuine question, there might be good reason for someone to want to do that, so I am interested to know) I used update my game in steam manually to the latest version,...

Interesting link. Sure i am biased, but i wonder if i am the only one here "being biassed". I try my best to hard to talk around a big elephant in the room. But is does not help me at all, as it works out the contrary. Well, at least the record has my attempt of a shout out to all: Don't P...

Re: Big Complaint about the Release Party
I tried to formulate my post avoiding the debate about covid statistics specific research claims, as a debate on these here won't help the cohesion on the forum. In the beginning following the regulations has been set as a mandatory requirement to even give the party. No gov go, no party. So i just ...

Everybody chooses on their own who (pun intended) to trust, and how you they care for their own body. If you don't think its safe, don't go. But please respect that people have decided for there own that its best to not wait a year, or even longer (!?) for them to move on with their lives, including...
