Re: Friday Facts #321 - Countdown
Congratulations to Allaizn on officially joining the team! That's so cool. He is a really awesome guy and one of the smartest people I know. I am sure he will be a massive asset to the team. Ian, sound designer... oh my gosh, is it really finally happening? I've been lusting after the new sound eff...

Re: Friday Facts #320 - Color correction
The mixed response here is interesting to me. People seem to have such wide and varying opinions that it makes me wonder how much different monitors and different monitor settings / calibrations are impacting how we all see these images? For my part, I find the changes to be very subtle, and mostly ...

Re: Friday Facts #320 - Color correction
Love the intent behind these changes. I'm seeing the images on a phone so I don't have any specific feedback because It'll probably look a little different on my computer, but I like what I see so far. One thing that I wasn't totally sure about is whether the intent is to make it easier to see at ni...

Re: Friday Facts #318 - New Tooltips
I don't know if it's just me and I need to have my eyes checked again, but it really seems like with 0.17, Wube has dropped support for people of average or below average eyesight ? (For my part, I have to increase it to 125%...) It's kind of hard to find precise information about ergonomics : Very...

Re: Friday Facts #318 - New Tooltips
@Twinsen Have you thought that with the multi-tooltip solution for several recipes + mods or GUI above 100% in relatively small resolutions (1080), it could happen that the tooltips get taller than the height of the screen? As they are tooltips that appear on hover, you cannot hover them to scroll ...

Re: [0.17] Ctrl Click tutorial problem
I split this from the release topic Can you provide a copy of your config and log file? Ctrl click does not work at all in any situation? 1) Running macOS 10.12.6 on a 2012 Retina Macbook Pro. It has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1024 MB of VRAM. I have attached the config file, but I noticed I nee...

[0.17] Ctrl Click tutorial problem
Not sure if this is a bug specific to 17.72, but I've run into an issue. I crafted a box and tried to shove all my coal in there using Ctrl-Left click. It did not work (nothing happened). I experimented with a few different keybindings in case I had forgotten the correct binding, but nothing worked....

Re: Friday Facts #316 - Map editor Lua snippets & Non-colliding Biters
Apple signing woes wheybags Perhaps I can assist? I've raised this issue a few times in recent months as even pre-Catalina I strenuously avoid running unsigned software. I'm not a professional developer, but I dabble and am willing to test... To test, I grabbed the .app of 0.17.69, signed it, uploa...

Is 0.17 going to be notarized to function on the latest version of macOS?
The newest version of macOS, "Catalina," will be released this month. Per the below Apple developer reminder, Catalina apps need to be notarized for security. Now that 0.17 is stable, is it going to be submitted to Apple for notarization? To further protect users on macOS Catalina, weβre w...

Hi there,
I just wanted to nudge this and see if this might make it in for 0.17 stable? It's really quite easy to do. The most time consuming part is signing up as an Apple developer, but once that's done it should be cake to implement.

Re: Friday Facts #269 - Roadmap update & Transport belt perspective
Good news that 0.17 will be released as an interim patch in January, 2019. I just wanted to confirm that the digital signing of the Mac (and Windows) binaries that was planned for 0.17 is still planned for the January release? @HanziQ and @posila indicated in this thread that this was planned for 0....

Re: Friday Facts #257 - NPE/Campaign update
This news sound like we can await 0.17 in the near future. I would really appreciate that. I certainly hope so as I'm dying to play, but I'm not optimistic about "near future." This line stuck out to me in the blog post and made me think I should manage my expectations of when to expect 0...

Re: [0.16.51 demo for Mac] is from an "unidentified developer"
You dont add any security by only running apps from identified developers... just btw. More important is "what" from "where". Btw, that's not accurate IMHO. Digitally signing apps is one layer in a security model. It doesn't address all threats, but it does address some. I'm not...

Thank you! I look forward to trying 0.17 with this inclusion when it ships. Do you still expect it to ship before year-end?HanziQ wrote:I've been meaning to fix this for a long time, even the full game is not signed. I will add this for 0.17.

[0.16.51 demo for Mac] is from an "unidentified developer"
[Note: also confirmed with the 0.16.36 demo for macOS.] For some reason the demos are not signed with an Apple Developer ID, and thus throw a security error when I go to open them. See attached file for a screen shot of the error, and see this Apple site for more details on Developer ID: https://dev...
