Good news! I think I found the problem. It's the one thing I imagined it was and really, really didn't want it to be. Factorissimo2. If I load up the save with all mods enabled in single-player, I get 60/60 FPS/UPS. If I load up the save with all mods enabled in local multiplayer, I get 45-50/45-50....

Hmm, when you are playing and hosting at the same time, dropping game speed causes issues for other clients? Never experienced that, than again i always seemed to be the slowest player. i know loewchen submitted an idea that the gamespeed autoscales to the slowest player to prevent desync issues, n...

I'd also note that I shouldn't have to specifically downclock a computer to be able to play a game. The thought is just ridiculous! I completely agree, i thought the same, but it made the game playable for me. The other alternative is to turn down game speed to say 0.8? just to see what happens.? W...

Hey Mate, I had similar issues in previous versions. What solved it for me is downclocking the server to under 3ghz. my sweetspot seemed to be around 2.6ghz, but that is with an AMD cpu at 4ghz for game pc. i'm expecting you might have a sweet spot a little higher. I would like to add to this that if I save the game from the server, then open it up in single player it runs flawlessly. stack sizes are part of the item-prototype and can't be changed at run time. Your best bet would be to increase stack sizes for items, and decrease slot counts for chests/trains if this is a route you really want to go. Hmm... I guess that could work. i'll have to ask a friend from the UK. he had an ISP that prevented him from running a server. will ask him next time i speak with him you want to use "Do not NAT" so outgoing packets stay with the same 'from' port. source your server IP and port. destination ANY Thanks for investigating....

looking at the ping pong ports, i'm guessing it's a NAT cone problem. meaning the port numbers for outgoing server traffic are being changed by your router(s). most SOHO routers are crap for hosting any kind server. sure they will forward incoming traffic, but will change the outgoing traffic port ...
