Yeah that would take some VERY strong prod modules indeed, not available in vanilla. Not applicable to py alone. Each step tends to use 2x or 5x or 10x the materials in the previous step, meaning you need max prod3 modules just to keep up and prevent the need for 300 tin per science pack

I don't think that "tiny base that still churns out huge SPM" is a phrase that applies to pyanodon mods regardless of the number of prod modules used, at least not with PyHT active

We're not caring about fluid velocity we're caring about throughout and a wider pipe shouldn't reduce throughout but it does in factorio

Niobium pipes used to carry more liquid per section, but that actually reduced flow rate because factorio. So now it's the same.

In the grand scheme of things the pipes aren't very expensive and aesthetics can be important depending on the person. Sure it's expensive when you're running your first niobium plates off the line but even if you make every single pipe out of niobium it's sort of a drop in the bucket

Bumping thread since my bug report got moved to technical help. This is actually a bug though, not being able to join a server if you're slower than it. Everything else in this thread is a feature request but not being able to join the -auto paused- server at all should be considered a bug.

Yes, good topics in that thread. There's probably a lot of enhancements that could be made. But not being about to join the game at all (one of the topics in that thread) should be considered a bug. I don't think all the many hard problems there need to be lumped together with this one concrete prob...

The map is getting large enough that fewer and fewer PC's will be able to hit 60ups on it. Everyone knows factorio will hit UPS limits if the factory is large enough. Shouldn't prevent people with average pcs from joining at all.

If a multiplayer server becomes a big complex factory, it will dip below 60 UPS and slower players are unable to join, they will never catch up. In my case, one of the regular players is experiencing 50 UPS and the server is still at 60fps. If no one is already on the server to pause this person sim...

It's crude to BTX to aromatics to petgas, and coal bed gas to acid gas, and that makes sulfuric acid. These are all red buildings. Uses about 170 crude, 1.7 iron, and .85 nex for 1000 sulfuric without modules.

You can definitely make multi fluid requesters. Up to six fluid per wagon. If you hook up the pipes ahead of time to factory outputs it's sort of trivial, and circuit magic can get you there even without doing this

We have a large map that desyncs often. Usually, it's when a player is joining. The other players can continue playing as normal. Eventually the server gets into such a state that I need to restart it or else everyone desyncs while joining. This fixes it for a little while and then the problem occur...
