Re: Friday Facts #398 - Fulgora

My gueess: Solar panels are inefficient, but you can build a "lightning catcher" to get electricity. It would be nice change when lightning catcher has large radius of catching. (like one chunk) Then it means your power source have to spread and interfere with standardized field of melting...

Re: Friday Facts #397 - Factoriopedia

Nice QoL, I have used Wiki for this. Alt-Tab is easy. I see an issue with layout of Factoriopedia - scrollbars. Your intention to make UI layout standardized also make it space hungry, (lot of gray without any information). It means, player has few information on screen then bunch available when scr...

Animation together with sound of foundry is mesmerising. I dont know what ingredients you used, but they are right. Sounds of inventory are interesting, it gives you feeling you touch it. I like it. Althou I dont know how it would work in long term, ... make sure there is an option - disable invento...

Re: Friday Facts #395 - Generic interrupts and Train stop priority

Can you add wildcard 'Any item' signal into regular combinator selection options ?
Reason: it is handy filter how to recognize/split virtual signals or a specific group.

Same for for 'Any Fluid', 'Any Fuel' and 'Any Signal'

Thanks.

Good post! I waited for mirroring Oil refineries a long time! Now just wait for someone to make one assembler run
An opposite of megabase here the new term minibase is born.
Archetype - One assembler surrounded by combinators.

Assembling machine circuit control applyed on centrifuge removes challenge of designing efficient enrichment process.
I am not sure it is correct approach.

When you get a filter feature on the burner inserter, you could make it so that coal is contaminated by stones by default. Because you find some stones full coal, then mine them manually. It should work opposite way. Miner placed on coal field, has a chance 1:10 produce a stone instead of coal. That...

"The question is, how to implement it without adding unnecessary GUI clutter in the way unless we care about this specific feature? " I like reading yours FFF because of analytic approach and continuous searching for a holy grail. However, The question I copied in red, is the most valuabl...

Brilliant. Make things simple is complicated, but you made it. Again. I just immediately come up with other interupts usage. Make a train who deliver ammo to several stations on the wall. In case ammo starts run out (interrupt) go to production for full load of bullets. Can we get a interrup l...

Tungsten has interesting electrical properties, maybe it can make better solar panels, or superconductor based entities that generate 2x the power. Tungsten has better usage as bullet core. Reason why depleted uranium is sometimes used is reduced price, but tungsten has the top performance. My gues...

Bolide is a word for a bright or crater forming meteor and totally unsuitable to describe small spaceborne pieces of a larger asteroid. Thank you for your creativity in explaining something while you have no idea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolide The IAU has no official definition of "boli...

Re: Friday Facts #385 - Asteroid Collector

until now, you used word "chunk" as reserved for a squared section of map containing fixed amount of tiles. In recent FFF you use word chunk repeatedly for asteroids. This inconsistency is confusing especially when translators of game help or wiki comes to play. I would recommend use word ...

Great ! Regarding : " Circuit slots show the values ... super simple when setting up a condition to know what ballpark of value you need to set." when value in the slot is over 1000 it (I assume ) shows shortened version. Like 14k of Stones. Can you make an mouse_over_tooltip which shows t...

Thanks you add that.

BTW: can we do mining "land" of space platform ?
