Absolutely agreed. I would have not bought the game in early access, hoping for additional content as a "backer" if I knew it will be out later for cheaper. Honestly, I simply would have pirated it.

That doesnt necessary have any direct connection to fps at all.

The fact that a paid guide is openly marketed by the devs is a big no-go for me. I don't understand how this is possible and encouraged. You don't need a guide to play the game. You need a literal potato for factorio. 4gb ram, any recent i3, that's it. Literally any laptop will do.

I have experienced a few strange crashes today, not caused by anything in particular, with no obvious reason, at least to me. Running on win 10x64, windowed, using 3 displays with nvidia surround, 0.12.18. Crash log attached. I hope it is useful to someone.

I absolutely forgot that the experimental version is downloaded separately. Strangely, I did not even have to tweak the configs. It just worked. Developer aura in the thread I guess. THank you everyone, I got my solution!
