Re: Blueprint changes.

Sadly, you can not, but you can create the green upgraders, and stick them in the book with your lower-level contraption, configured as desired :(

The e-mail link is broken, leads to wrong fff, 387 instead of 388.
Yep you're part of todays lucky 5000 which got the wrong link.
Funnily enough, it's the second time already. :D
I guess the sequence is alphabetical?

Re: How can people play without infinite resource mod?

Absolutely, agree on all points. For me the moment where it gets boring is quite long into a specific game. In the first couple hundred hours in a save it is fun and strategic, as you say.

Re: How can people play without infinite resource mod?

I agree. If you go past a single rocket launch or so, then you have three factors going for you that other people already mentioned: 1. greatly increased mining productivity, 2. ore patches get really huge as you move away from your starting point, and 3. blueprinting mines makes it simple. Heck, i...

Re: How can people play without infinite resource mod?

This is a short but delicate question that's been on my mind for years. How can people play Factorio without the inf mod that turns ores depletion into oil depletion? As in, instead of having an integer, it's a decreasing yield percentage. I can't imagine having to move all my mining fields , cable...

Yeah pretty sure someone who once contributed a little bit to GregTech back in ye olden days had the same profile Picture. XD Yes, exactly, that's a pretty specific pfp. If an intermediate is only ever used for one thing then perhaps it should be more useful or be removed You have no idea how much of a relief it is to read these words. This was my single biggest frustration when trying to play Space Exploration (unique single-use buildings that make unique single-u...

Re: Friday Facts #387 - Swimming in lava

I really really like the big miner, the ore-to-component, and general obvious mining outpost fatigue reduction. This is the weakest point of vanilla and SE right now.
The graphics are also amazing. Really looking forward to it.

I was here wishing it was Friday already when I realized it is already Friday in Prague, Czechia ! That made me wonder which timezone they use to post it. I would be angry if I was in Prague and still hadn't my FF by breakfast... I am pretty sure it's 13:00 Berlin time, when it gets posted. You can...

Deactivating and activating is not recommend.
To add onto this, I believe one of the devs said something a while back about removing this ability with 2.0.
Yeah, I also remember, that it is going to be removed. I hope that a train manager is coming with 2.0 though.

That would be very cool, especially the bit keyboard.
I use helper excel tables for input otherwise, which is pretty cumbersome.

Re: My issue with Factorio and how the 2.0 Space Age expansion is going to fix it (i hope)

It's nothing unusual, you will reach that point on vanilla settings as well. If you don't pre-click, it only means you are using very small segments. The issue I am describing is in "not a bug-minor issue" hell. The problem is, that while artillery "senses" biters in generated, b...

Re: My issue with Factorio and how the 2.0 Space Age expansion is going to fix it (i hope)

get to the lategame and can use artillery to keep biters from ever getting close to your base. I disagree, even in late-game biters are not "solveable". Artillery is too weak, even if you reach absurdly high range upgrades. And what happens then, is even funnier, you get artillery with en...

Re: Nuclear reactor strange power production: bug?

even with 2.0 you will need 2 blueprints, or even worse, all setups will break, since the super-force-mode removes landfill around pumps. If the pump mechanic does not change, you will need to overlandfill it again after placement, if it does, god help all current setups. This is my current pump se...
