Re: Updating to 0.13 fails

But I still want to know which files should copy to the fresh install in order to save my saves and campaign progress I think I found my saves (C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\saves, they're called <name>.zip), but I don't know where my campaign progress is saved. For future people: there i...

Updating to 0.13 fails

I was really psyched about the 0.13 update, so I tried updating my 0.12.35 to 0.13.0 today. It failed. Multiple times. Summary: I have tried it a few times now, but it fails each time with the message that there is something wrong with the .exe FactorioUpdateFail.png So, how can I update successfull...

Re: Friday Facts #140 - Soon

That train crossing looks awesome, I can't wait for the release.

But I think fire should not have a shadow (as in, it should not have a shadow where the sun can't reach the ground, because it is fire and emits light)

Re: Friday Facts #138 - Better Circuit Network III

I just love how you guys win two awards at a game of the year awards ceremony and it's only mentioned briefly, like "and we're gonna make this, and that was done, and stuff was implemented, oh and we won some rewards but that's not important, here's the link to the forums to tell us about what ...

Re: inserters holding the wrong kind of fuel when loading trains

It's not a bug, it's your refueling system design's flaw, you should be using three separated chest for each type of fuel to prevent such a problem. It is a bug, as said, it happened with assemblers too, and they fixed it there, which implies it is not the way it should work => bug. Another way to ...

inserters holding the wrong kind of fuel when loading trains

Something I hope should be simple to fix (as it was already done for assemblers) : When an inserter is fueling a train with inserter stack size bonus, it can jam and take more fuel than needed. This happened with my engineering train, the left locomotive needed only X<5 pieces of coal and 47 pieces ...

Re: Friday Facts #126 - Steam Status II and Trains Stuff

1) I like the ideas of: a) naming trains. b) being able to blueprint without actually going anywhere. c) seeing places without going there. So consider this an upvote for those ideas. 2) The icon for changing the preview between minimap and normal mode is confusing (in the same way that icon was whe...

corrupted/not working configuration file

I have recently downloaded factorio (0.11.22), but it didn't work, and it gave me the following error: 0.000 Error Util.cpp:43: /games/factorio/bin/x64/../../config-path.cfg(1): '=' character not found in line I can't open the file, because I don't have a program to do so (apparently it isn't a simp...

Relevant files for moving to new update.

Introduction to the problem (General introduction. I don't think it is completely necessary to read this, so you could also just skip to the problem if you'd like) Some time ago factorio auto-updated to the latest version (0.11.22). However, I think some things were changed in the directory setup, ...
