(Just so that you know, "Factory" typically means your entire production line, and not just a single assembler. For the sake of everyone understanding what you say, use 'assember' when talking about assemblers)

I like the idea to have modal vehicles, although I dont know how you would build the vehicles in a way that would fit the rest of factorio.
Also, a change this big would take a long while to code, and would un-doubtfully introduce tons of bugs that would have to be squashed.

You speed up research by building more labs. That's a simple problem with a simple solution. I don't think people are complaining about the speed --- Indeed, if my own experiences are common, having far more stuff to spend our science packs on just for the sake of spending those packs would be nice...

2. Perhaps it can be changed to str? right now it seems really inconvenient to have to type "strike" inside brackets. I donno though, I might be just be really lazy or something. ;) "Strike" is HTML standard. "Str" is for me "String"... or "Street"....

1. The additional buttons are not configurable like so, they are added to the end. To change it someone needs full access to the server. If you give me a better reason I can try to make this a higher prio. :) 2. I won't change it to "s", cause nearly everything here is like in HTML and ot...

It sounds like a very similar problem that I encountered in one of my old saves- I explored extremely far north,and, with all of the biters that were spawned and spawning, my UPS never got about 20.

Right now, when editing a post, the order of the buttons above the text box is (B)(i)(u)(Other buttons)(strike) when It should be (B)(i)(u)(strike)(Other buttons) As strike is just another type of letter formatting and should be next to the other letter formatting tools. A (slightly harsh) possibility would be to only grant access to the workshop once you have completed the game.
