Re: Build Queues for every entity and tile type
This would be very useful and solve a really unintuitive problem. The only question is what goes in each group.

Re: New Blueprints - Better Symmetry Point
After much trial and error and thought, I've come to the conclusion that the big problem isn't that you can't make blueprints of any size and tiling that you desire, and it's not that blueprints with trains and blueprints without trains have different tilings. The problem is that the game doesn't e...

Re: More visibility with Electric Miners
I personally disagree. I never remove miners until the whole patch is depleted or extremely low (unable to supply a train quickly), and donāt find it hard to see the indicator light anyway. I donāt exactly see why it would matter that the belt was obscured, and havenāt ever noticed myself having tro...

Re: BPL prints/books can only be deleted from the BPL
Yeah, it was red hard to learn not to delete things from your quickbar. It seemed unintuitive that something can be deleted from far away.

I'm pretty sure they are supposed to do this. At least the behemoths are.

Re: Pressing escape while in a blueprint should bring you up one layer.
I like there being a shortcut to go up a level. Personally, I would prefer "U" (if not already taken), as it's the shortcut to go up a level in Gmail and many email programs. Alternatively, ESC could exit out of the library screen completely, or perhaps have some other function (such as i...

Re: New Blueprints - Better Symmetry Point
Nothing violates the "rails can't be offset by 1 tile" rule. Blueprints will not change their "offset class" when rotated. The problem is simply this: Factorio blueprint tiling problem.png Both blueprints are perfectly tileable. They are essentially the same. The only difference...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
To all who would implement compression in vanilla: how is adding compression any better than adding more tiers of belts?

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
This suggestion doesnāt force anybody to be used. As long as you donāt use any compressed item the whole game works exactly as before! Experience show that a lot of players will not use it. And on the other hand it gave you a lot more opportunities to create efficient blueprints. In other words: mo...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
It is the way I play. I am speaking from my own perspective. Secondly, you said "the rest of this arguement is just silly". The rest. So not the part you criticized. you are the one yourself who said "what i'm saying, is..." if you don't want to boil your argument down to that o...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
You say that building belts without blueprints gets repetitive, but you shouldnāt be doing that. You should make trains. The challenge of increasing throughput is a fun and interesting part of the game. And by the time you are building 16 belts at a time, you should be using bots and blueprints, an...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
Can you tell me what is silly about it? because the fundamental basis of it is that a new way to do things that are more efficient will be the only way people play. this is silly, and i will demonstrate. trains are more efficient than belts or bots, and you'll see users not wanting to use those, ei...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
What Iām saying is that if compression were implemented, everyone would be āforcedā to use it, as it would become the most efficient method. I donāt want all the work I put into making highly efficient blueprints to be destroyed by a new feature. like the logistic robots that are unlocked around ut...

Re: Better Compression (Stacking/Boxing/Pallets) Support
i dunnooooo, in real life we have this thing called technology and we advance it - one advancement is in packing techniques. you can see where i'm going with this. the one person who's really vocally against compression here thinks it's game-breaking but wants to tell others the way the game should...
