But it seems that you are mostly relying on logistic bots to transport all your intermediate products. Personally I try to build production chains that don't have to rely on logistic bots too much in order to make everything faster/more effective.

Re: Fix the transport belts already
I'm not sure if they have changed something on the belt speed with 0.9, but now 8 electric furnaces (without modules, speed = 1.0) on each side (16 in total) are perfectly able to completely saturate a basic belt without turns. Any additional furnace put in line wasn't able to put a piece of iron pl...

Re: Too much fuel.
*edit* I don't really like the concept of recipes to convert the different liquids. Wouldn't that defeat the point of refineries outputting all 3 types? Light oil for sulfur isn't realistic either afaik. I think it is more of a balance issue (likely plastics, but possibly other petroleum based prod...

Re: Feedback 0.9
Generally I really like the added complexity of the game with the addition of the oil industry. But i think a few changes/adjustment are needed to make it fun/more easy to use. My suggestions can be found here: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2344 The only big thing now mi...

Re: [0.9] Liquid input capacity is too large
I have to agree. It would be much more inline with the "normal" rules for assemblers if the input for the chemical plants would be changed.

Re: Has the map creation algorithm changed?
With further testing it seems to me that the ore seeds are created first and than the water is generated. This leads to a situation where most/all of your ore is generated under water making it inaccessible for the player.

[0.9] Feedback/Balancing/Suggestions
Having played Factorio for the last 1 1/2 days extensively I just wanted to give some Feedback regarding overall gameplay and balance. Naturally this leads to some suggestions how to "solve" the "problems" I noticed. Of course some "problems" might be worthwhile design ...

Re: Do biters attack solar power units?
How do you enter the debug mode?
So biters will always try to reach the power plant and maybe the smelters/assembly machines but not much else?

Has the map creation algorithm changed?
I generated quite a few maps today (around 20ish) and found that in about 50% of all maps one of the main ores (coal, iron, copper) wasn't available in the starting location. This hasn't happened to me beforehand. Furthermore there seems to be a LOT more water on the map than before and the wood den...

Re: Can't assemble regular inserter?
Hi,
I had the same problem when i tried building the regular Inserter. You need to make sure that you have a tech 2 assembly machine (the blue one) for the construction.

I just learned that you can turn any oil into solid fuel which than can be used in a burner -> steam engine setup to produce energy.

[0.9] Not able to build yellow inserters
I am unable to build an "Knickarmroboter" (the yellow inserter) in an assembly machine. Only the coal fired ones and the intelligent inserter is buildable in the tech1 assembly machine for me.

Re: Friday Facts #19 The release buzz
The play test will start at saturday (tomorrow) so all the requirements must be in place, this should give us enough feedback for rough balancing and polishing. So we will be able to join the 0.9 pretest with experimental updates enabled in the options? Or are you only referring to internal testing...

Re: Factorio on Win8
I'm quite sure that the problem isn't win 8 but most likely your pc/laptop/tablet whatever.
I tested factorio on win 7 and win 8 and it works fine (and as not much has changed from win 7 to win 8 concerning games i don't think the operation system can be a problem)

Re: Friday Facts #18
Any chance that we will be surprised tomorrow by the release of 0.9?
Because personally I'm really excited about the new oil industry and all the possible receipts the oil will allow (And as we are alpha testers, feel free to use me/us ^^)
