[0.13.0][posila] Glitched rail tile cannot be removed
Hello,
After updating to 0.13.0, I opened a savegame that I created in 0.12.x. One of my trains did not move in auto mode, so I tried driving it manually. I noticed the locomotive got stuck on a single rail tile. When trying to remove this rail, the game outputs: "This cannot be mined." I tried shooting it with a rocket launcher and I got the message: "This cannot be damaged." The tile cannot be selected for removal by construction bots.
The problem persists when I isolate the railtrack from the rest of the rail network and when there are no train signals involved. The train simply stops at the glitched rail tile, as if it has reached the end of the tracks, even though the track continues.
It is possible that the locomotive was stationary on this tile when I last saved and closed the game before updating, but I'm not entirely sure of this. I have not found this problem anywhere else in this savegame.

Unfortunately, I have not made a backup of my saves, so I only have it saved in 0.13.
I thought about making a backup before updating, but I decided I wouldn't mind starting a new game if a save got lost or corrupted. I did not think about the possibility of using that save for something like this. I'm sorry I can't be of more help in this regard.

I got the same problem. In my 0.12-save I had two single trains close to each other, separated by a signal. After updating the rail between the two trains is in the same state as described above. This happened in multiple locations.

I have same issue. One rail bugged. Sorry, I did not backup game in 0.12. I think it might be reproduced in these steps:
1 Create train station in 0.12.xx (I playing in 0.12.35)
2 Send train to station
3 Stop train on station
4 Save game in 0.12.35 and convert it to 0.13.0
5 Enjoy your rails. It's undestrictable and train cannot pass through it.
You can see on screenshot (concrete was placed in 0.12.0, striped concrete was placed in 0.13). As I see on screens from other peoples, it's same position as in my station. All my other stations work perfect, other trains were on the way, not on stations.

Definitely can confirm this one. I have multiple .12 saves I could upload if it would help, but looks like someone else already loaded theirs.
In every one of my saves it's the same thing: a piece of indestructible track right behind my single engine train (with no cargo wagons), wherever it was parked. It's almost like there's an invisible car on the track that the game was expecting, keeping me from driving through or removing the track. I haven't yet been able to use explosives to solve the issue, but not for lack of trying.
Once the save is converted to .13 there don't seem to be any additional pieces of indestructible track created when I load the save, but the one that was created during the conversion to .13 never goes away.

is there a console command we can use in the meantime to manually remove a single piece of rail? like a command to remove what is under the cursor position or something?

In order to get this properly fixed I'm going to need a 0.12 save that I can load in 0.13.1 with steps to reproduce a bugged rail.
If someone can get me that I can get this resolved once and for all. This particular bug has existed probably since the creation of trains and rails but has always been worked around because nobody wanted to take the time to figure out what's actually going wrong and we never had a save file to reproduce it from the start
If you can make the save file as small as possible that will accelerate the bug fixing (less time spent loading).
We still don't know for sure what causes it but I suspect it's due to the train length and connection distance changes between 0.12 and 0.13.
If someone can get me that I can get this resolved once and for all. Hi, I am getting this bug as well.
The tile that cannot be deleted is below the train in at the leftmost Holding 1 station.
