[0.15.2] crash when mod update adds additional mod settings

Testing some mods for Nexela, had issues when updating to a new version of the mod. Tried also deleting the mod-settings.json file, but that had no effect.

added between version, some startup settings and addition per_user user runtime settings

Of note: This affects opening existing saves, creating a new save still works ok.

Happened to me too, but I am not sure if it is the exact same thing, so adding my log file just in case my crash caused something little bit different. I also updated a mod and then my new save crashes on load.
