Following the "bugs destroying your base" cutscene, I regain control of the engineer and can move around and build things. Except, Compilatron sits lifeless and I don't have any more tutorial prompts. As this was my first time playing the new introduction campaign, it took me a while to realize something was wrong. I ended up playing for an hour or so after the problem occurred, thinking maybe I needed to unlock some particular research to get more objectives. Not so.
I'll note my original base was rather over-engineered for a base that's about to be overrun by bugs with no hope of defending itself...
I managed to reproduce this twice by reloading _autosave-leave.
The first time, as in my original playthrough, I decided to ignore silly Compilatron and attempt to save as much of the factory as possible. I ran around picking pieces up, ignoring Compilatron's warnings. When the first biter appeared, I ignored him and kept packing things up. It wasn't until he started attacking me that I ran away and triggered the cutscene.
The second time I figured I should try to play along. I picked up the bare minimum number of items and ran to safety. The result was the same: the tutorial prompts are gone.

I ran into the same issue : no objectives and no words from compilatron after evacuation.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now...

Same issue here on 0.17.36. I've attached some saves. One is immediately before I evacuated, and the other is after I evacuated and was building for a while with no objective.

Same bug here. Took all my buildings ignoring compilatrons warnings. Compilatron went away first time as I started to run, than I decided to take some of my buildings, after some time compilatron came back to base with warnings again. Maby something to do it thinks you are running away, and going twice to that corner doesnt corectly triger events? v0.17.36

Encountered the same issue in 0.17.36, it reproduces after loading attached "_autosave-leave". I played for quite a while before finding out the scenario was not supposed to have 'freeplay' after the evacuation.
Maybe related, maybe not, I also received below lua error message after dying to biters and getting the respawn countdown dialog screen.

Update: after going in editor mode and changing player spawn place, going out of editor mode objective loaded properly.

This happens to me as well, I experimented around and it seems I can't make the tutorial go at all.
I tried multiple things and made a few tests but nothing seemed to work.

Same here, after the cutscene nothing happens.. my version is 0.17.36 (just bought the game and tried first time yesterday). compilatron is just stuck in up there. I played several hours after that and wondered what to do.. today i watched youtube about it and realised it was a bug..
