[0.11.8] Multiplayer - Death causes game to freeze/crash

Post by dooper »

Encountered during a multiplayer session.

When one of the players dies, the game freezes and crashes soon after(Factorio.exe has stopped working...).

Couldn't find anything about this, so it might be savegame related?

We also experience this, it seems, any time a player dies in multiplayer (version .11.8). We currently have a "no dieing" rule. :) I will edit this to add a log next time it happens.

Same here, every death causes a freeze, desync and inability to join the game by the dead player - we have to reload the game from save and make sure everyone has restarted their Factorio, otherwise server just crashes.

We play with 99 ms setting, 3 people, pings are 45-49 and 80-85.

Thanks for the notice, it was just fixed for 0.11.9 (and yes I made automated test for this scenario as well, to be sure).
