Esperanto ?

Post by ( Tchey ) »

This is more an idea than a work in progress (almost nothing done so far), but i'll try to translate the game into Esperanto, as i'm learning it nowadays.
The main difficulty is that the game has a lot of specific words, from technical stuff and videogame stuff !
So it's a good training...

If you want to know more about this 126 years old language, please visit Lernu website :

Mi estas novbakita, sed mi volas ludi kun Esperanton.
Ĉu vi volas helpi min ?

Lack of education has spoken. I don't want to be rude, it's just like if you say "Africa is a country", or "speak with someone with AIDS and you have it", or amerindian are sub-men", and so on...

I write "Esperanto" with a "E" as it's the language's name, "esperanto" with a "e" means "hope".

- National associations in 70+ countries, individual in 120+ countries, including China, Koreen, Iran, Madagascard, Hongria, Cuba...
- Every year, every time in a new country, there is an internationl congress with 1000 to 5000 people from all over the world. Only world wars have stopped a few years these congress.
- Everyday somewhere there is a meeting in Esperanto.
- A huge amount (thousands) original Esperanto productions (not translated from an other language) : songs, books, poetry, comics, websites, mags, radio... Some of the autors were even cited an Nobel price of litterature.
- This last 20 years, Esperanto has spread like never before, thanks to the internet and people going more and more open minded.
- Esperanto is owned by no one, no country, no culture, no religion, no politic.

It's well alive, and it's the more serious handcrafted language today.

I don't really want to debate about Esperanto here, only translation.

Ah ben merci lol ^^
Anyway, do as you want. I just think it's not a language spoken by many gamers ... I'm not speaking about intellectuals and such, but ... anyway, feel free to do so.

Actually, I think translating in Esperanto is a very nice idea. I do not speak it, but just the idea is somehow interesting ;)
