Set filters via map view

Set filters via map view

Am i just a bit slow to not know how to change filters on inserters or splitter from map view or is it just unavailable? Currently i have to build a similar item close by, set the settings there and copy it via SHIFT Left/Right Click to change something far away which is kinda clunky. Is it by design like this? Or does it look so weird for me because i always play with Far Reach Mod? :?:
