Continue after rocket defense countdown

Is it possible to continue a game after the rocket defense/fleet landing countdown has reached 0? I just have a big factory I want to continue, but I saved after starting the countdown and all autosaves also are with the countdown.

There is a way here to stop the countdown, although it's a little hacky.

Destroying or mining it doesn't stop the countdown.
