I really like the addition of color to the train cars in 2.0, however I have encountered a situation I'm unsure how to deal with...
Against the recommendation of the devs, I loaded up an old pre-2.0 save to get a head start in the Space Age, and I am quite impressed with how compatible everything still is! I have created some new trains since then, and they inherited the color of the engine as soon as they started driving in automatic mode. However, in one case, I simply added an extra car to an existing train, and that single car has not inherited the color it was supposed to (see image below).
Is there any way to force the car to be a certain color or force it to update? I was trying to avoid the headache of emptying this train of its contents, deleting it, and recreating it from scratch since it has mixed cargo with a lot of filters set up... but if that is the only way, then I may still eventually try that since the mis-matched color is starting to annoy me. Figured I'd ask around here first before I go report this as a bug.
Train Car Color Won't Auto-update
Re: Train Car Color Won't Auto-update
Have u tryed to set the color to a fixed value and then change it back to dynamic?

Re: Train Car Color Won't Auto-update
Well, I have tried setting the engine color, if that's what you mean... I don't know how to "set it to dynamic" as you say, but there is an option for setting it to the station color, which was ticked by default. Changing the engine color manually does not seem to affect the cars. They remain magenta and gray no matter what I do.
Re: Train Car Color Won't Auto-update
Sorry, I misunderstood you. I actually thought it was about the lomotive. This can adapt to the color of the destination station.
I had overlooked the last wagon in the picture above, which had no color.
