I've spent several days building a great map which I set up with medium sized (specifically: low frequency/medium size/very low quality) resources to encourage train use. However now that I have expanded past all the easily accessible ore I find that by the time I have found, built a mining facility and moved onto the next one the previous one is virtually ready to be broken down and replaced.
I appreciate that I will be unable to add new resources to previously explored chunks. But is it possible to increase the size of ore spawns in chunks that I explore from now on? To be clear I don't want to actually edit the map to manually place new ores, but change the map generation settings so that new ores are spawned in newly explored areas.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Chnaging Map Settings?
To my knowledge, I don't think that is possible. :/ There might be a console command for it but I don't recall ever seeing one myself. You might be able to change individual patches by standing on them and using a command, I know you can do that with oil wells.
But yeah I don't think you can ore spawn settings once the game is started. Someone please correct me if I am wrong though.

No i think your right Xterminator.
You can regenarate Ores per console but changing the ore settings or other map settings i don't think that thats possible.
Maybe somwhere in the save file itself? but per console i don't think so.
