How big is the output buffer of a Chemical Plant?

Don't know how to use a machine? Looking for efficient setups? Stuck in a mission?

How big is the output buffer of a Chemical Plant?

Post by Peter34 »

I'm theorycrafting a bit here, and I need to know how big the output buffer of a Chemical Plant is.

Also, does it differ based on whether it's making a fluid product or a solid product?

I think it might depend on if it's a sold mater or liquid. I'm pretty sure that for Sulfur it is 50. Not sure on the others but I think it would be pretty easy to test honestly.

I don't have a savegame, currently, where I can test this. That's why I'm asking.

Judging from a lubricant plant that had been unconnected, for fluids was 20.
The game seems to consider each output pipe from the chem plant to be able to hold 10 units.

Anyway, if you wanted to hold a specific amount, build a pump and then a storage tank.
Connect them via a circuit and set the pump to run when the tank isn't full enough.
