Angel's Infinite Ores Mod Added Later

Does the mod create infinite ores on patches that were already present to in a current game or does the mod need to be added prior to starting a map?
I added the mod much later in the game and I am still losing areas that have been mined completely.

it adds them as part of the resource patches to spawn so if you add it mid game its only going to add infinite ore to newly reveled ore patches
