[0.9.8] Side Inserters (1.1)

Adapted from the 90 degree inserters in sparr's mod.

Features
  • Left- and right-handed versions of each type of inserter in the base game
  • Sided versions are crafted from the regular versions
  • Mining a sided inserter will drop the regular version
  • Side inserters move a little slower than the regular ones in order to keep the operating speed similar, as they have a shorter distance to travel
  • Disable any type you don't like by unzipping to your mods directory and editing data.lua (burner inserters disabled by default, slow-down factor is also controlled here)
  • Poorly-executed translation to Czech, German and Russian
Update 1.1
  • Assemblers no longer able to craft side inserters without ingredients

Nice mod. I love the idea that all side inserters are crafted from standard inserters without additional resources and after mine they back as normal. Now I can setup and reset interter's side fast and easy.

I would like to have more inserters types supported that idea.

I've found a small bug: if you set an assembler to craft a side inserter, it will rapidly create a stack, even without ingredients or power.
After a little poking around, I've come to the conclusion that having the "energy_required" property set to 0 causes the assembler to treat the item as an infinite source.
Changing each instance of "energy_required" to 0.1 in "prototypes/recipe.lua" gives expected behaviour without noticeably affecting crafting speed.

Just give it a really tiny energy_required? I mean it's not like .5 would be skin off anybody's nose.
Like my mods? Check out another! Or see older, pre-0.12.0 mods.

Gotlag, can u find the way to combine somehow these inserters to dytech mod this will be very very useful please plaese =))))
Will be very useful to ratote not only default insertres but dytech insertres too

I to would be very grateful for 90 Degree DyTech Inserters.
I also had the idea after using your mod that DyTech Half Inserters should behave just like your 90 Degree ones in that they should be a free/mostly free Upg from the base Inserter that on removing them from your Factorio Floor should revert to base Inserter for easy inventory management. with the exceptions of the smart and filter Inserters witch should be considered a base Item.
After all Half Inserters are really no different then base maybe an extra gear would allow for that small range of movement.

when ever i run this mod the name is wrong as says "*name* doesnt match Side Iserter_1.10"
change the name to said above by copy pasting the name in data.lua

then i get a new error of

Thanks to everyone who used and enjoyed this mod, but as I haven't played the game for months and will be going overseas soon (and selling my computer to do so), I suggest that if someone wants to update this mod they make a new thread.

Consider all permissions granted and all rights abandoned.
