Big Solar Farm 0.15
I am a bit new here, and was looking around for big Solar Farms. The best ones I could find, I needed 30+ to power my base. So, I designed my own using the advantage of being able to place blueprints from map mode now.
This is modular, so You can attach the walls to each other and it will just continue to expand. Each should power 47.5 MW. It has a ratio of 0.83509234828 ~0.835 Fairly close to the ever loving ratio of 0.84. However the Space efficiency is 758*9+633*4=9,354 100*100=10,000 9,354/10,000= 93.54% It does come with 1 Radar to keep it loaded so you can add more power from your base, and 4 Roboports to allow robots to charge fast enough. It also comes with 7 storage just so I could have robots pulling from that chest instead of the main base.

Just my own personal preferences.
Get rid of the wall it should never be necessary, all the local biters in the area should be dead or if you need walls they should be on your perimeter around your base.
I know it's awkward but the the substations should be surrounded by accumulators in a way that allows you to add the solar panels afterwards with no dead space.

I personally use the Cilya Roboport design as I'm to lazy to try a new blueprint or make my own design. I found it to small later in the game so I just made a blueprint of 3*3 of them with a couple of radar thrown in and used that instead.

The problem is none of those designs have full roboport coverage. Mine does and still is on the high end of space efficiency and within the .84 ratio
Single Ratio Array Robo Out 193/220=.877 most space efficient overall power production
220*.042=9.24 MW + 193*.3=57.9 MW = 67.14 MW
charge 168*5/8.4=104.43 seconds
Space Efficiency:
(220 * 3) + 193 + 16 + (4 * 4) = 885 ? total spaces...
(100 / 885) * ((220 * 3) + 193 - 8) = 95.48% ?
remove the overlap 193 - (8*2) - (7*4) = 149 and 220 - (8*2) - (4*2) = 196
so in the end (100 / 745) * ((196 * 3) + 149 - 8) = 97.85% ?

He has coverge. You dont need full coverage with logistic network. Construction area is sufficient. You can connect roborts with cornes in "chessboard" style.
You can reach about 98.4% efficiency.
Note: Theoretical optimum is almost 99% (its eaxactly 98/99) where you use no roboport.

doesn't seem right. 104x4 would be only 416 solar panels? why does it require 4 roboports then? this is actually overlapping the roboport coverage. and is half the size of the last one I just posted. kinda silly. should only need 2 roboports, not 4

ah, well I usually just plop down a few blueprints and setup a little assembly with a requester / provider chest and let it build slowly no need for it to build instantly
