Party on!
Party on!
I thought - when I registered for the party - that this might be a good idea: A place, where we can organize ourselves.
You need to know, from my early days in virtual life (I once maintained a Bulletin Board System - you know that thing, where you called in by a modem) that was always a place for interesting threads. Well, it's a while away from that time, but mankind didn't change so much, so I hope it works here, too. (*)
Things to discuss here (but not limited to):
- Carpooling and accommodation
- Visiting Prague and doing things together (eating, drinking)
- Speaking about Factorio...
and lots of other stuff I cannot think about now...
I would say it's allowed to use native language here, I think especially Czech, German and Polish are the most obvious...
(*) This is a test!
After the party I plan to remove this board, including the discussions! (I think this only as a temporary board, but that is just my current thought about it)

Re: Party on!
The first post should definitely include time, location and amount of beer provided so we can decide if it's worth to attend.
Re: Party on!

Re: Party on!
Hi! I'm Dutch too. I was planning book a flight for Friday and return on Sunday. I didn't consider driving a distance on my own with my car, would be a bit too long and boring. But with some other Factorio players it will be funxiffix wrote:Im thinking about coming from Holland.

I think it will be nice too if we stay in the same hotel/hostel with some fellow Factorians too.
Edit: I was planning to buy the party ticket today, after I get approval from work for a day off on the Friday before. But I couldn't sleep last night because I started worrying if they wouldn't be sold out then (and because it was 30C in the bedroom). So I bought my party ticket today.
I just checked the distance, it's around 850 km (at least for me from Den Bosch). So if we share the costs it's also a lot cheaper than a fight. And even better if we can pick up another person if there's room. Only takes 8 hours according to Google Maps, so with the occasional stop it will be around 10 hrs.
So you plan to leave on Friday I guess?
I want to arrange a day off at work for the Friday before early this week.

Party off!
Back from Prague. What a nice weekend...
To this board:
1. I think this or a similar board would be a good idea for the next party, but it should be a bit more time for organization; for example an apartment instead of a hotel could be much cheaper, especially when you take more than one day.
2. I said I'll delete this board some weeks after the party, inclusive postings. I'm not so sure as 3 weeks ago. Especially if there are postings with photos etc. Opinions, please.
