Mining-Tool Mod Capability

Recommend adding the ability for modders to add more variation of things to the mining-tools, armor, weapons. Such as Resistances and player specific handcrafting-speed.

This will open up a bigger possibility for unique tools and weapons.

Those are already moddable (Resistance/durability/size of equipment grid for armor, damage type for ammo, behavior of weapons, durability/speed/damage of the mining-tools, ...).
Or are you missing something specific?

Look in the *.lua files in Factorio\data\base\prototypes\item, all the properties in there can be used for your own modded weapons/gear.

I was refering to allowing mining-tools themself to have resistance added to them. I understand what you are saying but that isnt what I recommended.

I recommended that mining-tools be allowed to have resistances added to them so I can make a tool that has armor properties.
