I think it is not a API request, but a mod request.

If we have things like modules for speed, production etc., things like exoskeleton and energy shields, and another stats changing without raw-table overwriting, then it can be written by the enemies too.
It means, if we have some slots by biters and spawners, then we can change all enemies with script, just add speed, attack and resist parameters to slots, and we have the same unit, but with another parameters. Is it not wonderful?

Ah, so your request is "add module slots for unit entity".

you mean like some sort of equipment grid on an enemy "unit" entity?
