[Request] connections allowed other than rolling stock
Looking to make an 18 wheeler mod and I can't unless it's rolling stock, which would require a new "track" which would be a road.
Re: [Request] connections allowed other than rolling stock
You can kind of cheat this in if you want. It would behave like a train in all ways but you could then re-skin this to look like a road. This unfortunately means that the roads will be one-lane and you'd get the same collisions as usual. Worse, the roads would be the same bends like the trains since you can't modify those at all.
If you want to do that then the the way is to change the rail_category to be "" instead of "regular". It be nice if it could be a distinct type but the Loader seems to disagree with anything else than those two options. Once you've done that the rail type is not compatible with normal train tracks so the signals etc will not mess with each other.
But anyway, all that aside, this is a hack and we should be able to edit the tracks more than is currently possible.
