Not sure if its a bug or intended. However i thought i will report it.
When transport belt meets undergrand belt it takes items from one of lanes, but not other.

That has been a feature for a long time.
At least I've been using it and never even considered that it could be a bug.

It's a helpful feature that can be used to split belts for example

Well, how would the red beakers physically reach that other belt? There's the underground belt cover in the way. I suppose the inserter could grab them and then fling them through the air and try to get them to land on the southward belt, but that could crack the beakers and you'd be left with red science goo spilled everywhere. And red science goo especially is very corrosive. Since mops aren't a craftable item in Factorio currently, you'd have to lick all that goo off the ground and your machines. Not a pleasant proposition.

Now i know i can split belts that way (and that devs hopefully wont destroy it when i build my factory), not with green inserters that cost me energy :>.

I did not say to change this, I didnt know if it was a bug and I could exploit it safely. And, if it wasn't intended behaviour, it could be a bug.
I left one of factories after 0.12 since i had so many things to fix (transport belts) i was to lazy to do it If this stopped working, that would be a disaster for some it seems.
