A while ago I started using the RivaTuner Statistics Server as a replacement for FRAPS to show FPS on the LCD on my keyboard. FRAPS was causing a framerate issue in Space Engineers, which RTSS doesn't seem to cause.
However, it causes a problem with resizing the Factorio window. When I resize the window, the game hangs.
1. Install RTSS
2. Launch Factorio
3. On the main menu, resize the window.
Expected behavior:
Everything in the window stretches/shrinks temporarily for a moment, until the game redraws it correctly.
Actual behavior:
Everything in the window stretches/shrinks and just stays there. Buttons can't be clicked.
Workaround:
Stopping RTSS (or adding a profile for Factorio that disables it) stops this broken resize behavior, but also means I can't show the framerate on my keyboard LCD.

Re: [0.14.21] RivaTuner Stats Server breaks resizing window
That's something RivaTuner needs to fix on their end. We don't do anything special when it comes to display resizing.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [0.14.21] RivaTuner Stats Server breaks resizing window
I dunno. I don't have any other games that have this problem.
The factorio log seems to indicate that it's detecting RTSS somehow:
12.290 RivaTuner Statistics Server hook detected (rtsshooks64.dll)
Is it doing something special when it detects this?

It outputs that in the console otherwise no. We do that because old versions of that software just crash the game at startup and by having it in the log it saves us the step of "do you have X software installed that's known to be buggy and is fixed if you update it?"lewisd wrote:I dunno.
