after updating from a previous save the inserter that picked from certain direction of belts on edges are now not working anymore
removing the belt and putting it down again fixes the issue

Look closer. Input electronic circuits are empty. If I replace the belt, the factory load them in input as expected and as how it happens for the other input slots

Actually, yes he is right, the output is just full, when I take the solar panel, it starts working again.DaveMcW wrote:Not a bug, your output is full.

So the question is: should AMs be "greedy", that is, fill all input slots to the max when given the chance, or "lazy", that is, as long as the output slot is full go into suspend, ignoring all inputs and stop manufacturing (actually there is an additional output slot: the currently created item in the AM!)

The current way is intended and wanted. The less items "lost" in the queues the better.dee- wrote:So the question is: should AMs be "greedy", that is, fill all input slots to the max when given the chance, or "lazy", that is, as long as the output slot is full go into suspend, ignoring all inputs and stop manufacturing (actually there is an additional output slot: the currently created item in the AM!)

Re: [0.11.15] upon update, some inserter stopped working
Then why:
- Other input slots are filled
- Replacing the belt cause the insert to fill the input slot
If the desired behavior is the other, it should be consistent the other way.

Some inputs are filled, because there were simply bigger amounts of items there before the output was filled.LoSboccacc wrote:Then why:

I was not able to activate the inserters by just replacing the belts.
