[0.10.6] problem loading mods

Have to say that I never tried mods before, so probably I'm doing something wrong...
However...
I downloaded alien-science.zip, dropped it into mods folder and I'm getting this:

But there IS info.json inside of this zip.
I tried to unpack zip into AlienScience directory, and now I'm getting this:

I tried to put "AdvancedEquipment v0.3.7.zip" there, and I'm getting 'Path ... does not match any mod.' error too.

Any insights?

I tried to put "AdvancedEquipment v0.3.7.zip" there

remove the version from the filename (the zip name needs to match the name given in the info.json exactly). As for the alien-science...check the names there as well (capitalization can matter), and if it's still not working post a link to the mod thread (I'm not sure exactly which one that is from the name lol). By the way, I'm curious why the topic says 0.10.6 yet your error log states 0.9.8 (use a zip to update or?)

Thanks! Yes, the problem was with names.
In case of alien science there was no directory 'alien-science' inside of zip. I unzipped/zipped it with dir and it works now.
