Prevent shift-left-click on power poles from removing cross-surface wire connections

Post by wretlaw120 »

Prevent shift-left-click on power poles from removing cross-surface wire connections. Players can't connect power poles between different surfaces through regular means themselves, so they shouldn't be able to disconnect inter-surface connections either. In Space Exploration and Power Overload, for instance, there are power poles (on the elevator in se, for example) that the player can shift-left-click, and break the inter-surface connections. Currently there is no good way to know if this has happened besides periodically checking whether the wires are connected or not.

An event that can tell us when a wire has been disconnected could be helpful as well.

Yeah, a on-wire-connected and on-wire-disconnected would obviously be ideal, but that suggestion has been rejected many times.

In lieu of that, definitely a +1 to this suggestion.
