A working "scalable" property for images on buttons/chkboxes

I'd like to see a working "scalable" property for images on buttons and checkboxes. Currently scaling cannot be turned off on buttons, and I don't think it can be turned on on checkboxes.

On checkboxes the images never scale. On buttons the images always scale. There isn't really a way to make a button with a non-scaled image on it (and the results are unpredictable even if the image is the same size as the button because of the transparency auto-cropping effect).
