[0.11.8] [kovarex] game slower in multiplayer

When I load the save linked below in single player, everything runs fine. But when I load the same save in multiplayer, it starts lagging hard. The FPS becomes choppy and it is very slow to move the character in any direction or interact menus. What is strange is that the unplayable lag occurs before any other players join the multiplayer game. When someone else joins, it is still laggy. We have reproduced this bug on two different computers: Win 7 64-bit and Win 8 64-bit in version 11.6 and 11.8. In all cases we tested, running single player works fine, but hosting multiplayer (with no one else joining) is laggy. Is there is something fundamentally different about loading a single player game compared to a multiplayer game? Hopefully the save can help track the issue down

Hello, can you reproduce the problem in 0.11.16?

Also the mods are no longer compatibile because of some changes, so these would need to be updated.
