Looking for colored concrete

If I understand correctly, I need to do a couple of things:

1. Copy the image for concrete and alter the color as desired.
2. Copy the specification for concrete and give it a new name.

Is that pretty much all I need to do to create a new "colored" concrete?

My reason for wanting the colored concrete is to more clearly show my "roadway" through my base. Initially, I used the concrete to show only the five tile road between the bus and the construction area. But now that I've put concrete down EVERYWHERE, it is hard to see the "road" through that I want to keep clear of transport belts.

Thank you for any tips (or pointers to a mod that already does this.)
