"But one day, kovarex said "Why doesn't the rail planner just snap to the rail you're pointing at?"
And since that day it does, rail planner "just connects" to any rail you pick, including between ground and elevated levels.
This also massively helps mitigate issues related to the rail planner having more directions."

"The rail planner can often find connections you wouldn't even expect to be possible, which can be mesmerizing to play with..."

Are these features not working yet? We just finally got going on our Space Age save and I'm having an incredibly difficult time with the rail planner... the rails won't connect like described and my range is far more limited than shown. Is there a setting or something I'm missing? :/

I'm pretty sure you have to press shift (on default control layout).
There is a normal rail planner that is meant for hand building that one is very limited. And with shift you get ghost one that can plan at much bigger scales.

Thank you, does this mean the auto-connect only works in this mode? It's a little annoying that it doesn't work when just trying to make a small s-curve
