Re: Friday Facts #328 - 2019 recap
Yay, more graphs again!
Interesting that although Rseding's commit count is higher, the line count is similar to Posila and Wheybegs. Almost as if Rseding is doing more bugfixes and Posila/Wheybegs were doing more features.
Other devs probably did features that were more difficult to get right. And they're just not as crazy as Rseding.

hmm, from these graphs I deduce rseding is the only person worthy of the title of the god emperor of mankind. because why not him?
kovarex, on the other hand, was actually scrooge mcduck all along. an interesting development indeed
the pageview graph shows a clear hedgehog tendency. it is obviously telling us we need more of the company's mascot.

Lots of for the year to come. Rest well until Monday !
Re: Friday Facts #328 - 2019 recap
I actually would have bet on the oil related changes in fff304 and 305 as the most red fff, but this is also plausible.
Seems really like the quiet before the storm and some well deserved holidays with the 0.18 release not that far ahead. This is going to be exciting!

I hope the whole team had a nice vacation. Definitely deserved some time off. You've been working like maniacs all year long.

Either he's drowning in all the steam money or kovarex is up to something new.

As mentioned on the reddit discussion: WoW Classic ate a chunk of his time around its August release, and even without that he makes high-level decisions about game design even when not making commits directly. See also: Last FFF, and his reflection on the state of the tutorials/campaign.

Here's to a happy new year, and a good journey
Re: Friday Facts #328 - 2019 recap
That contribution graph appears to be from GitHub (Enterprise?) but with a custom dark theme. May I ask what theme is that?
Re: Friday Facts #328 - 2019 recap
Those readership spikes are huge, 3-4x the traffic relative to the troughs. Shows the importance of the regular FFF content.
Re: Friday Facts #328 - 2019 recap
Happy new year, guys.
Thank you for your amazing work.
I remember back in beginning 2015 when I discovered the game to be blown away by 1. the zoom out, and 2. the massive amount of things that move on the screen. Learning the game was a slow process because it was not easy to understand the "scalable" or "modular" built, but as soon as I got it (end of 2015), it litterally changed my life and I apply this system (micro vs macro) everywhere in my life (find your bottle neck, control input and output). And it is an excellent introduction to programming logic. Since 2016 I only play in marathon because I dont want to reach the rocket before 100h of gameplay.
Thank you.

I'm not english, sorry for my mistakes

If there is 1 feature I would really like before release: saving of quickbar filters between games. It is such tedium to set up 60+ filters every time.

Wuhu FFF on my birthday
Enjoy the time off. Had 7 weeks myself (parental leave and vacation). You have a lot to do this year

While this is true and he's probably taking time off I suspect that he won't be able to keep his fingers still and he will start coding some prototypes of a new kind of game after only a few weeks. Concentrating on some other stuff probable is also good to give the master some distance to guide the final touches of his masterpiece.IronCartographer wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 1:38 amAs mentioned on the reddit discussion: WoW Classic ate a chunk of his time around its August release, and even without that he makes high-level decisions about game design even when not making commits directly. I can't thank you enough the effort you all spend in FFF, I think didn't miss a single one since I bought the game in 2016. Even while I'm not playing, FFF keeps me in touch with you which is really nice.
Thank you!
