I went to drag a medium power line north ,so I pressed 'q' over the placed one and, not realising I had none left, I dragged a load of ghost poles. I removed the ghosts.
After getting more poles, I went back and tried again to drag power north. As soon as it placed the first one, it made a line of poles going northwards, about 50 poles or so.
I grabbed the autosave from just before to try and repeat it and it sort of does. Save 'Pole oddness', if you drag a load of ghosts northward from the pole just to the right of you, then remove them and try to drag actual poles, sometimes it just places an unconnected pole above you.
Save 'Pole oddness 2' is just after it originally happened with the long line of poles going north. I'd picked the first few up before I realised what was happening and saved it.
