[0.12.27][posila] Crash on load

Hey guys,

since the newest update I'm getting crashes when loading a savegame (attached).
Any help would be appreaciated :)

Can you upload you mod folder, please? (You can exclude FARL and RailTanker as they are fairly large)

Yeah sure!

I've done some experiments and to me it seems like the crashes are GPU related.
If I load the savegame while Factorio is in window mode, it doesn't seem to crash and I can go back to fullscreen when the game is loaded.

Maybe my GPU is too weak for 1440p? Although I'm getting constant 60fps.

Edit: forcing OpenGL also does the trick, I can load my save even while in fullscreen. Sorry for not trying that earlier :)

Thanks. It doesn't crash for me on 0.12.27, but my screen is just 1920x1200. we have already fixed 2 issues related to SubChart::refresh (which shows up in your log) for 0.12.28, so hopefully your crash is also covered.

Note: Rseding made optimization in map charting in 0.12.27, it was quite large change, so that is why this part is little bit more buggy all of the sudden :)

Hey,

not too sure where (or if) to post this, but 0.12.28 doesn't seem to have fixed the problem for me.
The workaround mentioned above (force OpenGL or load in windowed) still works, but I still can't load the savegame in fullscreen Direct3D.

The nature of the crash has changed slightly in that I don't get an error message anymore, but the game simply freezes @ 0 UPS (and doesn't recover after 2-3 mins at which point I kill it).
The background music is playing while this happens.
