Multiplayer Account Reset Achievements

Hey, so im playing a multiplayer game with my buddy. And I had recently changed my account username on the factorio website. This made me re-auth ingame and had made me create a new character. I had lost my inventory but that wasn't a big deal.
However now I've noticed I'm also not getting achievements because I haven't been on the games save for 50% of the play time yet (even though I'm the host).
This means I'm not able to get achievements for another 30 hours at least. This is quite annoying, does anyone know a way to fix this?
