I'm trying to play the demo (don't want to install steam on this before i test that it works, i do own the game tho) on a Dell Latitude E5420.

This is the output of glxinfo -B:

This is the output when trying to run the game from the command line:

It seems that the hardware is just within the capabilities to run the game, why do I still get the error?

Your integrated graphics does not support opengl 3.3 which is the minimum requirement for factorio.

If you scroll down on the glxinfo -B output, it says that the OpenGL version is 3.3

Aside from opengl requirements, just want to note that you don’t need to install steam to play if you don’t want to. There are standalone versions of the game you can download and install from the same page as the demo (iirc).

Why does it literally say that the openGL version is 3.3 then?
