Unable to Launch 0.12.10

I haven't played factorio in a while and when I tried to relaunch my factorio it didn't work. I deleted it and tried to re-download it.
0.12.10 just doesn't launch properly. The icon appears (I'm on a mac btw) and then immediately fades away.
I tried re-downloading it once and but the same problem occurs.
I downloaded 0.12.3 and that ran fine, I even updated it to 0.12.10 twice, once it errored out and the other time it worked fine. However, the client didn't update properly (?) so I would have to run 0.12.3 and wait 10 mins for it to update to 0.12.10 just to play on 0.12.10.

Any suggestions?

i have the same problem the latest version that i can play is 0.12.4 evryting above wont start

I'm having the same problem. Under Mac OS X El Capitan, I can't launch any version of Factorio after 0.12.4. Additionally, when I check for updates in 0.12.4, it says that none are available.
