So i bought the game via Steam

Post by Zephian »

Hello People from the World Wide Web,
first of i have to apoligze about my english, its not that good but im working on it.
As i said in the Subject i bought the game via Steam cause i love it.
I watched many videos and know already a lot about the game.
I installed it connected it with my factorio.com account and downloaded some mods(cause thats how i like to play games)
I installed them after the introduction and everything worked fine, until i checked my mod folder in game.
The name of the mod was red and it said it requiers 0.13 or higher.
I was kinda suprised because i know version 0.13.17 just got released and i thought i would get it automaticly by downloading it via Steam.
So i checked my version in the client.
It says 0.12.35.
Thats kinda outdated and i checked my factorio.com account and it says i only got Alpha access. :/
But i payed the full price of it and i rly want to play the game.
I would appreciate if someone can help me.

Thank you already your Zephian. :)

To get the experimental versions in Steam you need to go into the game settings in your steam library and opt in into the beta branch.

Factorio is still in alpha.
By default, On Steam, you'll have only the last stable version of early access games. For Factorio, it's 0.12.35.
If you want to play the most recent unstable version (0.13.17), you have to go in Factorio properties in Steam, in "Beta" tab, and choose to activate experimental updates.
