computer crashes at 89% on the loading screen

so i just bought the game on steam and i cannot load it past 89% my laptop screen turns black and then restarts i have tried updating my graphics driver i have tried different builds of the game on steam to no avail. my laptop uses a amd A8-6410 (4 core 2.2 gh) processor with r5 radeon graphics crimson edition, 6 gigs of ram and windows 10

all i have found is a file called.crash but i dont think thats it my computer at 89% loaded blackscreens then restarts i dont think there is any time for the log to save

You can find the log file I was talking about by following the instructions in this post (where it says logfile) :

you have to go to the application directory then factorio and there you have the current log

As a workaround for the issue try to navigate to Factorio properties in Steam and set launch options to

Code: Select all

--gfx-safe-mode
