Hello People,
I try to build an Asteroid Mining Platform and wanted to simply extend a structure like the one in the screenshot to the east.
I quickly noticed that building more circumference does not result in much more Asteroids flying towards my Platform. I expected it to scale linearly.
All Asteroids seem to fly from side to side, as if an Algorithm was trying to prevent too many impacts while parking in orbit.
Any Ideas on maxing Asteroid resource Collection with low Surface Area. I think the next best thing might be building a hollow circle with a slit at any point.
Ty for reading, be kind

Astroids spawning seems incoherent
Re: Astroids spawning seems incoherent
It seems like the best Strategy is to read Belt contents and check how many of an Asteroid type are available for consumption. Then schedule interrupts that make your Platform farm and get back to your local orbit to deploy Resources.
If you make an initial blueprint that produces rocket and platform parts, you can infinitely scale orbit asteroid mining except for stone production. But dropping calcite to the Vulcanus surface makes stone easily available as a lava production byproduct to produce furnaces and oil refineries.
